Korean Corn Dog Recipe

Korean corn dogs are a popular street food made from hot dogs and mozzarella cheese, which is coated batter and deep fried before being rolled in sugar and having other toppings added. The corn dog is served on a stick and almost always covered in ketchup and mustard, as well as sugar.
Origin and Cultural Significance
Korean hotdogs are popular all over South Korea and around the world. They are thought to have been invented in Korea during the 1980s, and have recently grown in popularity after going “viral” on social media.
The corn dogs are traditionally made with hot dogs and mozzarella cheese but you can also find different varieties, using rice cakes, fish cakes, and even fries.
Unlike American corndogs which are made using corn meal, Korean corn dogs use a yeasted batter and panko breadcrumbs to coat the hotdog. This makes the corn dog a lot crunchier than its American counterpart.
They are a popular street food in South Korea and each vendor offers their own unique option of toppings – including ramen noodles or French fries.
